It is patently obvious that B.C. is in a crisis situation relative to wildfire control

It was particularly apropos to watch the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald swinging in the breeze on a recent news clip. There he was, our former prime minister and member of Parliament, publicly hung without trial, lawyer or supporting voice to speak on his behalf. And why? Because Mayor Lisa Helps and BԪַThe FamilyBԪַ decided with their BԪַunbiasedBԪַ clarity of 20/20 hindsight, that this was the only way forward.

Sir John A. MacdonaldBԪַs statue was not created to commemorate his stance on residential schools, but rather the fact that he was CanadaBԪַs first prime minister. That is an historical fact. While we now know that his thinking on the education of first nation children was wrong, that it has and continues to have negative impacts on our native population, does not change that fact.
