The Spectrum Thunder triumphed over the Oak Bay Bays 80-71 in a hard-fought battle to secure the Gary Taylor Tournament trophy.
The visiting team from Saanich defeated the Bays on their home court at Oak Bay High on Dec. 21.
Justin Hirichsen led the charge for the Thunder with a standout performance, scoring 25 points. J. Helman contributed 24 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, while Tyler Felt added 23 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists.

SpectrumB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Justin Hinrichsen earned MVP honours, for the second consecutive year. The 2024 tournament also recognized five other standout players as All-Stars: Toren Franklin, Diem Orser, Tyler Felt, J Helman, and Dorian Glogovac. The Best Defensive Player award went to Olin Lakos.
