The Oak Bay Bays opened their home tournament in style Thursday, cruising to a 104-44 win over the crosstown rival Belmont Bulldogs of Langford.
The win puts the Bays on course to secure a spot in Saturday's final of the Gary Taylor Classic.
Saanich's Lambrick Park Secondary and Pacific Academy of Surrey are set to duel Thursday, with the winner taking on Vancouver's St. George's School Thursday night.
Oak Bay will face the winner of that game Friday at 8:45 p.m. at Oak Bay High. The winner of that game advances to Saturday's final (tip-off at 6 p.m.) while the loser will play for third place in Saturday's consolation final at 4:45 p.m.
Other teams in the tournament are Saanich's Spectrum Community School, Rutland Secondary of Kelowna, Fleetwood Park of Surrey and Burnaby's St. Thomas More.
