The 2025 Trek BC Gravel Series on Vancouver Island will feature four races in 2025.
BԪַFor 2025, we are taking things to a new level with the continuation of our great partnership with Trek Bicycles and Mosaic Forest Management,BԪַ said race director, Jon Watkin. BԪַWith the expansion of the series to four epic events, we want to highlight the Island as the best gravel cycling destination in the world and give a ride experience that will create lasting fond memories.BԪַ
The series offers exclusive private gravel roads in the remote wilderness, which will feature muscle aching terrain, but also awe-inspiring views that can only be found on the west coast of B.C. The new race this year is Forbidden Gravel, which will start in Cumberland on Sept. 7. The series starts on April 20 with the River City Gravel Fondo in Campbell River. The next race is on May 18 with the Burnt Bridge Classic Gravel Fondo in Cowichan Valley, then June 15 is Nanaimo Unpaved. The Cumberland event will round out the series.
The event is sponsored by Trek Bicycles, Mosaic Forest Management. Mosaic has partnered with key municipal partners such as City of Campbell River, Cowichan Valley Regional District, Nanaimo Hospitality Association, and Village of Cumberland.
BԪַAfter a great inaugural event in 2024, we are thrilled to be kicking off the 2025 Trek BC Gravel Series in Campbell River with the second annual River City Gravel Fondo.BԪַ says Trevor Dalton, Business Development Officer for the City of Campbell River. BԪַThis event was a fantastic way to showcase the exceptional biking terrain we have here in Campbell River, and we look forward to welcoming even more competitors next April for the first race of the series.BԪַ
