LETTER: Sidney has taken pandemic seriously

In the Aug 27 edition of the PNR, Denny Warner, executive director of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, stirred the pot with his comments about Sidney being smug.
LETTER: Losing patience with City Hall

LETTER: Losing patience with City Hall

Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps has stated that the problems at Centennial Square outside City Hall have escalated to the point of being BԪַuntenable.BԪַ With any luck, the electorate of this city will come to a similar conclusion that the problems unleashed inside City Hall have escalated to the point of being BԪַuntenableBԪַ on voting day in 2022.

LETTER: Victoria mayor turning blind eye to problem in cityBԪַs parks

Once again Mayor Lisa Helps is sidestepping the opportunity to provide real leadership on camping in Victoria parks. It is now patently obvious that allowing unlimited camping in the parks is a disaster and yet she refuses to do anything different.

LETTER: City Hall simply moving the problem of homeless camps

This is so rich. After years of ignoring the concerns and complaints of this cityBԪַs citizens who have been victimized by the sharp rise in criminal activities following the establishment of BԪַtent citiesBԪַ in their neighbourhoods, Mayor Lisa Helps and her cohorts quickly snap into action when such an encampment arises on their doorstep at Centennial Square. Unfortunately their BԪַsolutionBԪַ is to dump the campers onto someone elseBԪַs doorstep. The hypocrisy is mind boggling and completely shameless.

LETTER: Upcoming bike lane extension in Fairfield a burden, resident says

Re: letter to the editor, Gail Meston BԪַ Oak Bay should embrace alternative transportation options. BԪַ It amazes me how anyone can think the destruction of a couple of neighbourhoods (not only Oak Bay but Fairfield Gonzales) to build an unnecessary bike lane will resolve so many issues reflected in Ms. MestonBԪַs letter.
