The Westshore Rebels football team and the Langford Legion have joined forces.

The Westshore Rebels football team and the Langford Legion have joined forces.

The Legion is now providing space for the team to run meetings and fundraisers, and the Rebels are providing man-power for Legion events.

The Rebels can now hold team meetings, watch game footage and host events at the Legion at no cost to the team.

In turn, the team will help the Legion members set up tables and chairs for events. The Rebels players helped set up for the childrenB次元官网网址檚 Christmas party at the Legion in December and the New YearB次元官网网址檚 Levee in January.

B次元官网网址淲e bring the muscle,B次元官网网址 said Elise Pastro, Rebels co-president. B次元官网网址淭he players come and can have the place set up on half an hour.B次元官网网址

The Legion is also supplying a trophy case for the Rebels players to have a display of past accomplishments.

The Rebels are hosting a Superbowl party on Sunday, Feb. 2, from 1 to 10 p.m. at the Legion, the first of many fundraisers the team hopes to host at the new location.

B次元官网网址淭he team has endless costs,B次元官网网址 Pastro said. B次元官网网址淲e have a lot of old debt, league fees, equipment and supplies. Last year we probably spent about $2,000 just on tape.B次元官网网址

The Legion is hoping this new partnership will also boost membership, by drawing in a new crowd.

B次元官网网址淲e were looking out in our community to partner with a youth program that would fit well with us,B次元官网网址 said Dave Bennett, Legion president. B次元官网网址淭he Rebels were kind enough to say yes. ItB次元官网网址檚 been very good so far.B次元官网网址
