Lyme disease fundraiser hosted in Langford Sept. 9

Green leader and Lyme patient advocate Elizabeth May to speak at fundraiser

Federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May is guest speaker at a Sept. 9 event sponsored and hosted by EvedarB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Bistro in Langford to raise awareness about Lyme disease.

May has been working diligently for the past three years to have Lyme disease addressed by the medical profession in Canada.

The evening at EvedarB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s includes dinner and live music, donated by Marc and Fran Jinnouchi of the bistro and Brad Prevedoros, respectively.  The cost is $50 per person, and 100 per cent of the funds raised from the event will go directly to Sarah C., a friend of the restaurant who has Lyme disease, to help with her medical costs and treatment.

The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Reservations are required. Call 250-391-8636 or email Fran at franhj16@hotmail.com to reserve.
