Starlight Stadium is the place to be this July 1st.
The city's third annual Canada Day celebration is set to have live music, food, performances and activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m..
Activities include a photobooth, a firefighter obstacle course, a button workshop, a cornhole tournament, lawn games and a street hockey demo with West Shore RCMP.
The Plaza Stage has a stacked music lineup, starting with Melody Moonshaker (10 a.m.), Trophy Dad (11:15 a.m.), The County Line (12:30 p.m.), wiL&Co (2 p.m.) and sets from DJ Lo Fi in between.
The North Stage will have DJ Benny Jett (12:30 p.m.) and Stax (1:30 p.m.)
There will also be music from local drum groups, Ahousaht Victoria Cultural Group and Hulitan Thunder, in addition to a magic show from local Jason Verners and a special appearance from the Superheroes of Victoria.
Food lovers can enjoy a pancake breakfast from 10-11 a.m. hot-wing eating contest (1:30 p.m.) and food trucks.
For the kids, there will be face painting, a balloon artist, a teen zone with games from Quazar's Arcade, a craft table and more.
