A pleasant day of golf, food and music rounded out the first Buddy DeVito 9 Holes, Dinner & Dance in aid of the WestShore Adult Day Program.
Administered by the Greater Victoria Eldercare Foundation, the daycare is attended by DeVitoB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s wife, Gisele.
She was diagnosed with early onset AlzheimerB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s disease two years ago.
The couple wanted to do something to raise awareness and a little cash for the program. Not only did the July 11 event bring out some new people to the program, roughly $3,000 was raised toward the purchase of specialized equipment for the day program and other initiatives.
