Colwood was shortlisted as one of three medium-sized communities with populations between 5,000 and 25,000 residents. The top three contenders also include Dawson Creek and the Township of Spallumcheen.

The Open for Business Awards were launched in 2011 to celebrate communities where small businesses flourish. Created in partnership with the Province of B.C. and the BC Small Business Roundtable, nominees are selected for showcasing their B次元官网网址渃ommitment to supporting the growth and success of the small business sector and looking for innovative solutions to drive economic development within their communities.B次元官网网址
Ucluelet, Harrison Hot Springs and Lumby are among the contenders for the under 5,000 residents category. Winners will be announced on Feb. 21 at the Small Business BC Awards Gala in Vancouver.
