Cary McCook was just trying to get to his Smithers hotel. A deer was just trying to run away from a dog.

Unfortunately, they butted heads.

McCook, who is from the Kwadacha First Nation and part of a hip-hop group called Reka-NatioN, was in Smithers to take an environmental training course when he got out of a coworkerB次元官网网址檚 truck near the StorkB次元官网网址檚 Inn. He had only taken a few steps when a deer galloped right into him.

B次元官网网址淚 still canB次元官网网址檛 believe I got hit by a deer,B次元官网网址� said McCook. B次元官网网址淚 heard three gallops and I turned to my left and before I could make out what it was, I see a deer coming towards me and it hits me and IB次元官网网址檓 on the ground.B次元官网网址�

McCook had to check with his coworkers to make sure it was a deer and even stuck around to talk to hotel management.

B次元官网网址淚 was able to get security footage because no one believed me because it was April Fools,B次元官网网址� he said.

Not even his own mother took him at his word.

B次元官网网址淭he first thing I did was call my mom,B次元官网网址� said McCook. B次元官网网址淚 was like mom, I got hit by a deer in front of my hotel room and then she kind of laughed and said B次元官网网址業B次元官网网址檝e heard better than that.B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址�

McCook loves every moment of it.
