Vancouver drooling over new additions to prestigious Michelin Guide

Culinary kingmaker expected to reveal more stars for cityBԪַs elite restaurant list

Michelin is set to update its guide to VancouverBԪַs fine dining this evening.

The culinary kingmaker is hosting a ceremony to add more restaurants to its prestigious list of recommendations.

As it stands, nine restaurants in the city have one Michelin star, an honour given to eateries with BԪַhigh quality cookingBԪַ that are deemed BԪַworth a stop.BԪַ

There are, as of yet, no restaurants in the city with two stars BԪַ BԪַexcellent cooking, worth a detourBԪַ BԪַ or the maximum three stars BԪַ BԪַexceptional cuisine, worth a special journey.BԪַ

There are also 15 restaurants in Vancouver with the BԪַbib gourmandBԪַ designation, which goes to establishments with BԪַgreat food at a great value.BԪַ

Michelin first entered Canada in 2022 with guides for Toronto and Vancouver, and will expand into Quebec next year.
