Two West Shore athletes have their eyes set on the Youth Olympic Games later this year, but they need a bit of help getting there.
Sisters Gracie and Hannah May hope to compete in beach volleyball at the Youth Olympic Games NORCECA qualifier in Cuba from May 25 to 28.
But in order to secure a spot at the Games, the Belmont Secondary students must compete at trials, which are being held by Volleyball Canada in Toronto. While the trials were originally scheduled for late May or early June, the sisters were notified in early February that the dates had been moved up to March 3 and 4, leaving little time for them to fundraise the costs of travelling to Toronto to compete.

The duo have since set up an online fundraising campaign in hopes the public will help them on their way to volleyball greatness. In the past two days the campaign has raised $500 of its $5,000 goal.
