ItB次元官网网址檚 likely to be an emotional start to the night on Friday ahead of the Victoria ShamrocksB次元官网网址 home game against the Coquitlam Adanacs.

ThatB次元官网网址檚 because late Const. Sarah BeckettB次元官网网址檚 family will be on hand to drop the ball for the ceremonial faceoff, while members of the West Shore RCMP will be accepting donations for a scholarship in BeckettB次元官网网址檚 name.

B次元官网网址淲eB次元官网网址檙e focusing on the good things, like family and how Sarah benefited the community and how her time with the RCMP made her a role model for young women,B次元官网网址 said Jason Sperling, Shamrocks operations manager.

The $2,000 scholarship, an initiative by the Capital Regional District, is slated to be awarded annually to a youth entering a career in law enforcement.

Raffle tickets in support of the scholarship will also be for sale on Friday and for the rest of the season, with a lucky fan being selected to drop the ball prior to the ShamrocksB次元官网网址 final home game of the season on July 28.
