The 2023 Canadian Outdoor Archery Championships returned to Greater Victoria last week, with the outdoor fields at West Shore Parks and Recreation in Colwood converted into target ranges for the nationB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s top archers.
Dozens of archers from across the country participated in several different categories during the tournament, organized by age and bow type, and split further between field events and target events.
On Friday (Aug. 11), the final qualification round took place in target compound, recurve, and barebow. Final rounds for target shooting took place Saturday (Aug. 12) with the medals being handed out at the end of the day.
