LETTER: Takaya sculpture puts selection process in question

LETTER: Takaya sculpture puts selection process in question

Having viewed Oak BayB次元官网网址檚 webpage devoted to the Takaya Reflections project, and having watched their video of the effort to honour the tragic story of Takaya, I agree that much of the impetus around the idea for this commission is lovely, and the art piece seems decently considered.

One obvious conclusion arising from this pandemic is that health issues donB次元官网网址檛 recognize borders. But despite the massive consequences of COVID-19, our political leaders still havenB次元官网网址檛 grasped it.

In the Oct. 15 edition, Norm Rider wrote about lack of parking enforcement in Central Saanich. The same situation exists in Sidney, with a town-wide 24-hour maximum parking limit.

During these years, I have accessed the park using Mercer Trail for entering and exiting.

Often using simplistic logic for complex concepts draws incorrect conclusions. Such is the case with the letter to the editor under the headline B次元官网网址淧ut homeless to workB次元官网网址 in the Oct. 14 Goldstream Gazette.

ItB次元官网网址檚 sad and quite funny a longtime NDP voter would blame Site C issues on a project started by the BC Liberals that was at the point of no return.
LETTER: Rail service an election issue

LETTER: Rail service an election issue

I have sent a letter to all Vancouver Island candidates in the upcoming provincial election to enlist their support to help restore rail service to Vancouver Island once and for all. The topic has been discussed for years by all levels of government since passenger rail service was cancelled in 2011. Quite frankly this issue should have been resolved long ago.
