Smart meters a waste of money

I feel that spending $930 million dollars on smart meters is a waste of basically our money when there are things that can be done with no spending.

The installation of tankless water heaters in new construction should be mandated. This immediately saves 40 per cent on the cost of heating the water used most often.

Have builders go to triple pane windows to cut down on heat escaping from houses. Where applicable, have solar panels on roofs of houses or garages that put power back into the grid or used directly in the home.

When these are done at the time of building, the additional costs are minimal and would have a faster pay back.

BC Hydro is overlooking the obvious and simplest way of addressing rising hydro needs. Charging more for electricity doesnB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t work.
