Regarding the train from Victoria and the few who take it.
It should be simple to prove that the train is not profitable for taxpayers (given the cost of maintenance and management).
Running the train for working people, back and forth to work, might work, but I donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t think so.
ItB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s too expensive for passengers. It must be expensive to run the train up Island when it is barely half full, regardless of peak seasons and travelling times.
If we decide to run the train, it would obviously be more cost effective to establish a station on the Esquimalt side of the bridge. Think of the maintenance costs that would be saved, and the extended life of the bridge. Keep money for more important priorities.
