LETTER: Work on power lines should accompany highway project in Sooke

Bury power lines at same time crews digging trenches along Highway 14

CRD crews dig a trench and lay pipe in Metchosin.

Since the Capital Regional District will now be digging trenches along Highway 14 in Sooke for two years running, I have a question. Wouldn't it make sense to bury the overhead power lines at the same time?

In light of the two recent power outages, maybe there's some federal or provincial 'disaster preparedness' money available for such a project.
