ItB次元官网网址檚 been interesting reading the news for the last week or two. But IB次元官网网址檓 left scratching my head. In one article, a person is caught after an alleged carjacking B次元官网网址 and then heB次元官网网址檚 released. He goes out the next day and does the same thing. And is let go. Then heB次元官网网址檚 accused of a robbery and is finally sent to jail to await trial.

But hereB次元官网网址檚 the kicker, on May 1, the province is bringing in fines of $500 to $5,000 per day for someone who rents out a home or suite as a short-term rental in an area where theyB次元官网网址檙e not allowed to. So whoB次元官网网址檚 the criminal here? Why is there swift and expensive justice on one hand, and a slap on the wrist for the other.

Premier David Eby calls the one doing the illegal rental a B次元官网网址渟peculatorB次元官网网址 who is admonished by the premier for being greedy. As for the other? It seems itB次元官网网址檚 just business as usual. Can someone explain the logic to me?
