Alcadinho, an advertising consultant for the Gazette, founded the West Shore WomenB次元官网网址檚 Business Network in January thinking she might be able to get a few dozen women together for monthly luncheons.
Within the first week of announcing the event, she had 35 confirmed attendees and requests have been rolling in ever since.
B次元官网网址淚 get about 10 e-mails per day from women who want to be a part of this,B次元官网网址� Alcadinho said. B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 a much bigger than I ever could have anticipated.B次元官网网址�
She swapped her original 50-seat venue for one twice the size, and still managed to pack the place. And now with around 150 interested members on her e-mail distribution list, sheB次元官网网址檚 expecting another full house at this monthB次元官网网址檚 meeting.
B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 an opportunity for business women to connect and gain expertise to grow their business,B次元官网网址� Alcadinho said. B次元官网网址淎nd they donB次元官网网址檛 need to drive into Victoria to do it.B次元官网网址�
The catered lunch meetings feature two guest speakers. First somebody within the group talks about their business, then a visiting expert or panel speaks on a topic relevant to business growth.
The upcoming event will feature Anna Harvey of Boost Communications and Pauline Penner of Simply Solutions, both offering tips for successful networking.
After the speakers, the women are encouraged to mingle and get to know each other.

The West Shore WomenB次元官网网址檚 Business Network meets the fourth Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Kinsmen Fieldhouse, across from Bear Mountain Arena, 1767 Island Hwy.
