Police swarmed and canvassed an area near Fraser Lane and Cooper Road this morning (Sept. 27) after a report of a possible abduction attempt.
Shortly before 9:30 this morning, the West Shore RCMP received a report that two children, aged five and seven, were approached by a man in a red car, while on their way to school.
West Shore RCMP Major Crime Unit, general duty watch officers, School Liaison Unit and First Nations Community Policing Section were deployed.

Despite an intensive investigation throughout the day, which included neighbourhood canvassing, interviews with multiple people in the area, and several interviews with the two children, no evidence was uncovered to support the initial reports.
