Man found in Witty's Lagoon bathroom with backpack full of women's underwear

RCMP recovered a bag full of panties when they responded to a call about a drunk man near WittyB次元官网网址檚 Lagoon late last month.

The male in his late 40s was discovered in the washrooms at WittyB次元官网网址檚 Lagoon on July 29 at 11 p.m. He was drunk and passed out, and found with a backpack full of about 20 pairs of womenB次元官网网址檚 and girlB次元官网网址檚 underwear.

The man was taken to the detachment to stay in a cell until he sobered up.

When questioned about the undergarments, he said they were his, but RCMP do not believe his story. They say the panties appear to have been worn by women.

B次元官网网址淲e want to know where the clothing came from and to know if any girls or women have underwear missing,B次元官网网址 said Sgt. Max Fossum of West Shore RCMP. B次元官网网址淲e seized all the clothing.B次元官网网址

The male has a criminal record for a sexual assault occurring more than 10 years ago.

RCMP were alerted about the male after receiving a 911 call from a homeowner near WittyB次元官网网址檚 Lagoon who said the man was knocking at the door asking to come in because he was cold.

No charges have been laid against the man, and itB次元官网网址檚 likely he will only be charged if women come forward identifying their stolen underwear.

RCMP are asking anyone who has had any underwear stolen to call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
