Sidney Museum brings back Lego Exhibition bigger than ever

Hundreds of thousands of pieces on display in creations big and small during exhibit running Jan. 2 until March 31

Rarely does a toy to resonate so deeply with BԪַkidsBԪַ of all ages like good old Lego.

For more than 60 years the balance of creativity and meticulous skill has turned the infamous brand of plastic play things into a world of our own making.

From Star Wars to The Simpsons to Harry Potter to the Bugatti Chiron automobile, Lego has brought some of our favourite tales into our living rooms sparking the imaginations of builders everywhere.

To celebrate the worldwide phenomenon, the Sidney Museum brings back its iconic Lego Exhibition, Jan. 2 to March 31 with admission by donation.

The word Lego is derived from the Danish BԪַleg godtBԪַ which means BԪַplay wellBԪַ.

Learn more fun facts about the hundreds of thousands of Lego pieces that make up the museumBԪַs displays, guess how many bricks it took to build the Lego pyramid or catch the special presentation film on the origin and continuing evolvement of the Lego building system.

But be prepared BԪַ the Lego Exhibition brings some 10,000 people through the museumBԪַs doors during its two-month run, according to executive director Peter Garnham.
