Police are again reminding people to lock their vehicles after a spate of thefts from work trucks last week in Colwood and Langford.

According to a release from West Shore RCMP, in separate instances on June 19 and 20, B次元官网网址渨itnesses observed a black sedan driving by the construction trucks (on Promenade Cres.) when the passenger got out and opened the doors of the unlocked trucks and stole wallets that were left inside.B次元官网网址�

The release states that on one occasion, the owner of one of the trucks, B次元官网网址渆ven observed his own vehicle being targeted as he was working nearby.B次元官网网址�

Another truck in the 600-block of Cairndale Road had two backpacks containing tools and wallets stolen in a similar grab-and-run situation, also on June 19. A credit card from one of the stolen wallets was fraudulently used later that day.

Another construction truck was hit on June 20 in Langford on the 300-block of Goldstream Avenue, which saw the rightful owner of many tools B次元官网网址� including nailers and a Stihl saw B次元官网网址� lose their possessions.

West Shore RCMP says theyB次元官网网址檙e actively investigating these matters, and remind the public to keep vehicles locked at all times and keep valuables out of sight.
