A senseless attack on a 10-month-old Labrador puppy in Highlands left a dog with at least 12 pellet gun wounds to its body and the neighbourhood shaken.
West Shore RCMP were contacted by the dogB次元官网网址檚 owner after he found his pet, named Ozzy, unresponsive in the back yard of his Rockridge Place home on Wednesday and rushed the animal to a local veterinary clinic for care. Staff there removed at least 12 metal pellets from the dogB次元官网网址檚 body.
The pup was patched up and appears to be doing better, said Const. John Varley of West Shore RCMP, and investigators have begun looking into who might have committed this act of cruelty.
