Anyone with thoughts about the cityB次元官网网址檚 plans to rezone the Royal B.C. Museum, to allow for expansion, can express them at a public hearing tomorrow (May 26).
The rezoning would allow the museum to double its floor space to expand its collections and exhibition room.
The proposal includes building a new 16-storey tower to be leased as commercial office space, as well moving the St. AnneB次元官网网址檚 schoolhouse.
The plan also entails building a 300-stall underground parking lot, less than the standard generally required.
B次元官网网址淩ezoning is critical for the long-term care and preservation of the museumB次元官网网址檚 collection,B次元官网网址 said Royal B.C. Museum CEO Pauline Rafferty.
The public hearing takes place in City Hall council chambers, starting at 7:30 p.m.
