A popular holiday treat from a local bakery has been recalled due to an undisclosed allergen found in the product.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued a recall notice Thursday for Portofino European Bakery brand gluten-free almond stollen due to undeclared wheat.
A representative with CFIA could not confirm whether the recall was triggered during a spot check by the agency or whether it was flagged by a consumer.
