Moms and Mentors has found a warm welcome and a place to call home at Cherish at Central Park Community Living in Langford.
Maureen Hobbs, who launched the Moms and Mentors Society 23 years ago, said the volunteer organization is extremely grateful to have a space where they can continue to assist mothers by helping them face the challenges of motherhood and parenting by connecting them to resources in the community.

Families enjoy being together talking, sharing a light meal and most importantly building support for one another and for their kids. Hobbs said the group hopes to establish connections with some of the residents at Cherish who may be interested in getting to know Moms and Mentors as well. The generosity of organizations such as Cherish, the Sooke School Board, Rotary, the Lions Club, PEO and other service groups is what has enabled Moms and Mentors to continue to build community, she added.
