Minor delays on Malahat after Tuesday afternoon collision

Traffic is delayed in the Tunnel Hill area of the Malahat due to a single vehicle collision. (Google Maps image)

A collision on the Malahat just past Goldstream Provincial Park is causing traffic delays.

Chris Cowley, operations manager with Mainroads South Island Contracting, said a vehicle struck a barrier post in the Tunnel Hill area.

Cowley said the northbound slow lane is currently affected with tow trucks on scene. Traffic is moving normally in the fast lane and the incident is expected to be cleared in about 30 minutes.
