With Kidney Month in B.C. nearing its end, the Vancouver Island Kidney Patients Association happily announced it raised more than $11,500 for patient support services with a silent auction.
Money from the fundraiser, held March 6 at Royal Jubilee Hospital, will help buy transonic monitors for each of the dialysis units on the Island.
The association is a non-profit, volunteer-run society working for the benefit of more than 2,400 renal patients on the Island, as well as their family members, friends, caregivers and others interested in helping people face the challenges of kidney disease.
