The city will review safety feedback from an investigation after a man fell from the Johnson Street Bridge in the early morning of Dec. 15.

B次元官网网址淪afety is a primary design requirement for all City infrastructure. Safety design and reviews are important parts of the bridge replacement project and operational programs. Safety railings, gates and lighting are installed along the bridge, with applicable signage to remove access to restricted areas. In addition to the design work, the City completed independent safety reviews with support from third-party consultants and experts.B次元官网网址�

Located at the Canadian Coast Guard Base in Victoria, the Victoria Search and Rescue team has responded to 65 incidents in Victoria area waters since June 2018. The Coast Guard does not keep track of information including how many of these incidents resulted in death or how many were alcohol-related.

B次元官网网址淲e look closely at our systems whenever there is an incident or a near-miss, or when issues are brought forward. The City will be working with VicPD and the Coroner Service to review all safety feedback from their investigations,B次元官网网址� Work said.
