Threats written on an exterior wall of Journey Middle School is the focus of a police investigation, Sooke RCMP say.

Officers were called to the school Tuesday morning when teachers found offensive graffiti scrawls left on the wall.

The message of concern, said Sooke School District superintendent Jim Cambridge, read something like, B次元官网网址榙onB次元官网网址檛 come to school on Dec. 8B次元官网网址 and B次元官网网址業 all you kill.B次元官网网址橞次元官网网址

Cambridge expects children found chalk left out after school and drew the graffiti Monday night, which was found the next morning.

B次元官网网址淎ny time we have something like this we treat it seriously, but we also work directly with the school and deal with it appropriately,B次元官网网址 said Sooke RCMP Cpl. Joe Holmes.

After an initial investigation, the RCMP concluded the incident was low risk.

B次元官网网址淢ost of it was pretty typical middle school-aged silliness,B次元官网网址 said Cambridge.

He said years ago this wouldnB次元官网网址檛 have even been reported to the RCMP or parents, but now as word spreads a lot quicker and causes parents to worry, the schools report anything that is concerning.

B次元官网网址淢y biggest concern is that parents are anxious. We report things of concern through an abundance of caution and the byproduct of that is unnecessarily making parents feel anxious about things that they donB次元官网网址檛 need to,B次元官网网址 said Cambridge.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 250-642-5241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
