Cathy Noel hopes to take the big step from successful entrepreneur to a seat in the B.C. legislature, with the B.C. Liberals.
But she knows it will be a challenge.
SheB次元官网网址檚 facing off against New Democrat John Horgan who in the 2013 B.C. election won the riding by more than 6,000 votes.
B次元官网网址淔rom a timing point of view and the support I was receiving it just seemed now was the right time to do it,B次元官网网址 said Noel.
Noel owns and operates a small business that has organized local charity events for dozens of not-for-profits across the Island. She is also the race director for two of the largest races on the Island: the Goodlife Fitness Victoria Marathon and the Victoria Goddess Run.
B次元官网网址淚B次元官网网址檓 ready to take my experience as a business owner,, entrepreneur and mother, and use them to make a real difference in our community.B次元官网网址
And sheB次元官网网址檚 a quick study on local issues.
Noel was the first candidate to declare her candidacy back in November and since then has knocked on many doors, attended numerous community events and met with community leaders, all to get a better understanding of what she could do to help the communities in the new Langford-Juan de Fuca riding.
B次元官网网址淭he top priorities (in the region) are health care and transportation,B次元官网网址 she said.
And sheB次元官网网址檚 well aware of the challenges of Highway 14, transit and getting proper medical facilities in Sooke B次元官网网址 all projects she believes she can take on with verve.
B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 been fascinating and weB次元官网网址檙e in it to win, and do the best job we can.B次元官网网址
