Argument over woman leads to stabbing

A young Saanich man faces a charge of aggravated assault after a stabbing Saturday morning sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.

Saanich police attended the 3900-block of St. Peters Rd. in the Quadra-McKenzie area around 3:45 a.m. and found three people suffering from injuries, including one who had been stabbed using a kitchen knife.

Eassie said investigators believe the incident began as an argument over a woman.

Police are still looking to speak with that woman, who has yet to be identified. People at the house arenB次元官网网址檛 co-operating with police.

B次元官网网址淚 would say that extreme levels of intoxication were also a factor,B次元官网网址 he added.

The stabbing victim, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital, but was later released. A 44-year-old was also taken to hospital with facial injuries.

A 22-year-old Esquimalt man faces one count assault causing bodily harm.

Adam Taggart, a 20-year-old Saanich man, originally charged with attempted murder, now faces a charge of aggravated assault and appeared in court on Monday.
