Residents in the City of Langford will have a new face on council.
Norma Stewart claimed more than 66 per cent of the vote to take the seat vacated by Winnie Sifert, who served on council for more than 25 years.
In the mayoral race Stew Young beat challenger Robert Fraser with nearly 82 per cent of the vote.
Young received 3,939 votes with Fraser claiming 790.
HeB次元官网网址檒l be joined by councillors Lillian Szpak (3,466 votes), Denise Blackwell (3,369), Stewart (3,207), Lanny Seaton (3,121), Matt Sahlstrom (3,073), and Roger Wade (2,948).

But Young didnB次元官网网址檛 just thank council for its hard work. He also noted city staff and its many volunteers work endless to make the city great.

He welcomed Stewart to the team, noting it was deserved after her long service history with 12 years on the cityB次元官网网址檚 planning and zoning committee.
Wendy Hobbs also ran for a seat but was not elected with 2,712 votes.
