Victoria HarbourCats head coach Todd Haney, who has led the team to the West Coast League finals twice in just four years, will remain in his position for the next five seasons.

Haney, who took over as head coach in 2019, came to Victoria with four years of Major League experience.
The Texas native began his professional career in 1987, when he was selected to play for the Mariners B次元官网网址 the same year now hall-of-famer Ken Griffey Jr. joined the Seattle outfit. Later, Haney went to bat for the Chicago Cubs, the New York Mets and the Montreal Expos.
The coach also led a baseball development program in Waco, Texas.

Next year, Haney will stick to what he does best.

Under HaneyB次元官网网址檚 leadership, the team has reached the WCL playoffs four times, in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024. The HarbourCats also lead the WCL in home runs (127), hits (2,096), stolen bases (610) and total bases (2,895).
The coach is looking forward to whatever the next season throws at him.
