Legendary broadcaster Bernie Pascall inducted into 6th Hall of Fame

Legendary TV sports broadcaster Bernie Pascall has been inducted into his sixth Hall of Fame.

The former longtime sports director/commentator for BCTV, who now lives in Oceanside, has been named to the Coquitlam Sports Hall of Fame. He was inducted along with three others in a ceremony on June 11.

Pascall was a play-by-play broadcaster for the Vancouver Canucks, B.C. Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps. He attended and broadcast 10 Olympic Games, 12 World Hockey Championships and the first-ever Canada Cup of hockey.

He also broadcast 20 B.C. Winter and Summer Games on BCTV, including games in Nanaimo, Comox, Duncan, Victoria and Coquitlam.

Pascall is already a member of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame,  B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame, B.C. Football Hall of Fame, B.C. Sports Hall of Fame and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Also inducted into the Coquitlam HOF along with Pascall were baseball standout Don Gurniak, field hockey Olympian Ronnie Jagday and softball umpire Brian Van Os.
