A 43 year-old-man has been sentenced to jail following an incident last year at the Langford Heritage Library.
According to an RCMP news release, the man was reported to have ripped wires and kicked a hole in the wall inside the library, before leaving the premises on Oct. 28.
Shortly after the incident, James Cochrane was arrested for mischief after West Shore RCMP identified him using CCTV footage.
Cochrane entered a guilty plea to mischief, along with guilty pleas on other unrelated court files, on Tuesday (Jan. 28). He was then sentenced to six months of jail and nine months of probation.
The RCMP says Cochrane remains in custody and is serving his prison sentence.
