BC Transit and the Victoria Regional Transit Commission say they are bringing good karma to Swifties going to and coming from the Vancouver stop on Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.
BC Ferries will be adding late-night and early-morning trips to accommodate concertgoers and BC Transit says buses will be there to greet them as they add special trips to Route 70.
The additional ferries are as follows:
Friday, Dec. 6: Extra sailings in both directions between Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen at 5 a.m. and 11 p.m., providing more options to help ease daytime congestion.
Sunday, Dec. 8: Additional late-night sailings from Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen at 11 p.m. and from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay at 1 a.m. (early on Monday, December 9), for travellers heading back from weekend events.
On Friday, Dec. 6, buses will depart the Legislature Exchange at 3:53 a.m. and will arrive at the Swartz Bay terminal at 4:40 a.m. for a special 5 a.m. departure. BC Ferries has also added an 11 p.m. sailing, with a bus scheduled to leave the terminal at 12:40 a.m. and arrive at the Legislature Exchange at 1:41 a.m. on Dec. 7.
There will be a ferry departing Tsawwassen on Monday, Dec 9 at 1 a.m., with a bus scheduled to depart the Swartz Bay terminal at 2:55 a.m. that will arrive at the Legislature Exchange at 3:41 a.m.
There is also regular Route 70 service that meets the 5 a.m. sailing from Tsawwassen on Dec. 6, departing Swartz Bay at 6:57 a.m. as well as one arriving at 10:42 p.m. that meets the 11 p.m. departure from Swartz Bay. The regular route for Sunday, Dec. 8 will see a bus arrive at Swartz Bay at 10:45 p.m. for the 11 p.m. departure.
