The Peninsula Health Unit will begin to offer late-night and weekend services after the creation of a new after-hours primary care clinic.
Starting on Monday, April 8, the clinic will offer services by appointment from Monday to Friday, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

B次元官网网址淧atients will be able to access primary-care providers more easily, which helps reduce demand on emergency departments and brings more care options closer to home.B次元官网网址
Once fully staffed, a dedicated team of doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, an office coordinator and medical office assistants will support the new after-hours primary care clinic.
The clinic will be for those who need non-emergency medical care for ailments like minor injuries, high fever, colds, sprains and headaches. In addition, registered nurses can offer chronic disease and lifestyle management, harm reduction supplies and education, sexually transmitted infection care, and pregnancy testing and supported decision making for unexpected pregnancies.
