Royal Roads bringing undergrad programs to Langford's post-secondary campus

$100K in student financial assistance has been made available to celebrate the campus opening

Royal Roads University has announced it will be offering brand-new undergraduate programs at the West Shore Collaborative Post-Secondary Campus in Langford.

Offering a flexible approach to higher education, students can choose from three undergraduate degree pathway programs in Business and Sustainability, Environmental Sciences and Social Sciences, which have been designed to equip students with career-ready skills and real-world experience, says a news release from the university.

Students can tailor their education to their lifestyle and career goals, says the university, with the ability to ladder up from an undergraduate certificate in Year 1, to a diploma in Year 2, finishing with a bachelor's degree in Years 3/4.

To mark this milestone, $100,000 in student financial assistance has been made available by the university. Up to 100 students will be eligible for $1,000 from the 'First Class entrance award'.

As well as celebrating the launch of Royal Roads' undergraduate programs, Steenkamp says the awards also address the critical need for affordability and accessibility in higher education.

Alongside Royal Roads University, the one-stop campus will also house students from the University of Victoria, Justice Institute of BC, Camosun College and the Sooke School District. Classes are scheduled to commence in the fall of 2025.

Camosun College announced in January that some of its most popular programs will be available at the new campus. Prospective students will be able to choose from CamosunB次元官网网址檚 Information and Computer Systems Technologist Diploma, Early Learning and Care Diploma and the Health Care Assistant Certificate program.

Applications are now open for Royal Roads new undergraduate degree pathway programs. To introduce parents and students to their new programs, the university is hosting a series of events, including a public open house on Saturday, March 1. The university has encouraged parents and guardians with students in Grade 11 or 12 to attend events for more information.
