Victoria is now home to the Capital Regional District's first Queer curling club.
Created to introduce LGBTQQIP2SA+ folks to the roaring game, the club, called Throw Rocks, Not Shade (TRNS), is set to host a Queer curling class on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at the Victoria Curling Club.

The event costs $25 to attend, which includes rental equipment, ice time and a lesson. Attendees are invited to warm up afterward at the VCC's Stone's Throw Lounge.
"We are incredibly proud to host this historic event," James Keogh, the VCC's general manager, said in the same news release. "The Victoria Curling Club recognizes its commitment to diversity is best realized through strong partnerships and collaborations, such as with TRNS.
