For close to 40 years, Camosun College has offered non-academic programs to help adults experiencing barriers to education or employment.

Called Employment Training and Preparation (ETP), these four-month opportunities help students decide on career or educational paths or train for entry-level employment.

B次元官网网址淭his is especially true for those who received extra support in high school or identify as experiencing barriers. However, ETP has no prerequisites."

Programs last four to eight months and offer students real-world skills, including first aid and workplace hazardous materials training, or sector-specific training, like customer service and farm-to-table food service skills.

B次元官网网址淓TP programs are flexible to meet each studentB次元官网网址檚 interests, strengths and needs," instructor Mark Fournier said in the same news release. "Students explore opportunities and resources to pursue further learning, volunteering and employment.
