When Victoria choral director Sue Doman formed the Starlight Pops Choir in 2008, she never dreamed that the group, made up mostly of retirees, would be able to wrap their heads B次元官网网址� and their voices B次元官网网址� around the music of Elton John, Paul Simon, The Police, Queen, U2 and The Rolling Stones. But thatB次元官网网址檚 exactly what happens as Starlight Pops present their concert Pop ROCKS! at St. AidanB次元官网网址檚 United Church.

B次元官网网址淪ome folks hear the words B次元官网网址榬ock musicB次元官网网址� and it scares them a bit because they think itB次元官网网址檒l be loud and harsh, but itB次元官网网址檚 not,B次元官网网址� said Doman. B次元官网网址淥ur program focuses on classic songs people know like Rock Around The Clock, Louie Louie, and I Heard It Through The Grapevine.

The 80-voice choir is supported by a four-piece combo, and the concert will include special performances by small ensembles and soloists including guest Sean McCool of the Soul Shakers, as well as a solo by herself, an accomplished vocalist.
