A Victoria software developer has launched a tool to help get music lovers out to more concerts.
Devin Bushey created a website called , which generates personalized Spotify playlists with the top songs from artists playing in your area.
B次元官网网址淚t displays all the bands and artists that are playing at the location you select,B次元官网网址 Bushey said. B次元官网网址淭he Spotify playlist will be yours to customize.B次元官网网址
Bushey came up with the idea and the name after making playlists based on concert listings at record stores.
B次元官网网址淢ost of the artists on the listings were unfamiliar to me, so I was just manually plugging the band name in Spotify. If a band came up that I thought was cool, I would go see them live. That was super tedious, but it was a great way to find and see more music. Record Shop automates that whole process.B次元官网网址
Bushey is a software developer for Workday.
B次元官网网址淩ecord shop combines my passion for listening to good music and software development. It also lets me give back to the community.B次元官网网址
There is even an exclusive Rifflandia Record Shop page and playlist available at .
B次元官网网址淚 reached out to them,B次元官网网址 Bushey added. B次元官网网址淥ur goals aligned. Those are discovering unfamiliar artists and making it easy for people to hear those bands. A lot of people gloss over the smaller bands on a festival lineup. We want to bring those unfamiliar artists to light.B次元官网网址
RifflandiaB次元官网网址檚 Electric Avenue is taking place downtown in the Arts and Innovation District from Sept. 7 to 9. The Park festival runs from Sept. 15 to 17 at Royal Athletic Park.
B次元官网网址淵ou can even have a playlist based on the days you want to go to,B次元官网网址 Bushey said. B次元官网网址淚t would be great to get all of the local festivals and do the same thing for them and create exclusive pages. IB次元官网网址檓 trying to help boost the music scene in Victoria.B次元官网网址
