A Langford culinary and musical experience will take diners on a sensory journey across Vancouver Island.
For one evening only, diners at House of Boateng can enjoy music and dishes inspired by six Island locations, including Goldstream and East Sooke parks.
The unique and special evening, titled the Art of Harmonizing Music and Food, has been organized by composer Diane Berry and chef Castro Boateng, who have collaborated to create this as one of House of BoatengB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s long table dinners.
Berry, who plays the flute, has written the music specifically for the event, which will be played by chamber ensemble band Aerie Trio, which also includes Maria Wang on cello and Kathryn LeGros on piano.
The band will perform before every course, which they say will "evoke the local landscape and the places being celebrated."
Chef Boateng will use local B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ and sometimes unique ingredients B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ for the six-course tasting menu.
The Art of Harmonizing Music and Food will be held at House of Boateng, 2829 Peatt Rd., on Friday, Feb. 21, from 6:30 p.m.
