Organizers officially pulled the plug on the popular Capital Regional Comic Con that last ran in 2022.
After announcing a hiatus in 2023, the organization officially announced it would not return in a social media post Nov. 26.

The nonprofit Capital City Comic Con held its first convention in 2018 and its last in 2022.

The news is described as "heartbreaking" for many weighing in online, some who lamented the loss.
"It was so much fun. A great event for grandparents of teens to have a connection!" one commenter said.

Some saw the opportunity to remind folks to support the other regional convention B次元官网网址 Island FanCon, set for March 28 to 30, 2025 in Langford.
