The West Shore Arts Council and Westshore Town Centre are looking for innovative artists to reconstruct iconic Canadian symbols or historic moments in Canadian history, for inclusion in a two-week showcase.
The twist? Plastic bottles and bottle caps will be the focus material in this installation.
Artist proposals are now being accepted for the Canada 150 Recycled Art Project, which will see a $1,000 grand prize awarded to the artist receiving the most votes for "unique presentation.BԪַ
Participants must be over 18 and proposals must include a conceptual drawing with a description of the intended piece and how it demonstrates a connection with Canada's historical past. Artists selected to participate will receive $200 toward their endeavour.
