Verna McAdams turned 100 on April 17 and the next day Beryl Tether reached 104. The two woman celebrated with balloons, flowers and birthday tiaras at their Alexander Mackie lodge home in Langford.

The ladiesB次元官网网址� favourite thing to do now is B次元官网网址渘othing,B次元官网网址� both said in separate interviews, each with a little chuckle.

At the senior living facility, there is one birthday party a month, unless you are 100 or older and then you get your own little celebration.

On Thursday, Tether walked into the dining hall with her walker to an applause from residents and staff right before she enjoyed her lunch.

When it comes to celebrating 104, Tether said, B次元官网网址淚tB次元官网网址檚 just like it was before. You donB次元官网网址檛 notice it.B次元官网网址�

She has fond memories of dancing to her favourite old-time dance music including waltzes, polkas and foxtrots. Now unable to dance, she still enjoys the music.

Tether has lived at the lodge for six years and enjoys writing letters B次元官网网址� on her electric typewriter B次元官网网址� to send to her family. Tether has never sent an email.

Her niece, Anne Smith travelled from Regina to celebrate with her aunt.

B次元官网网址淪he kept a lot of diaries and sheB次元官网网址檚 always very positive with a great sense of humour,B次元官网网址� Smith said.
